Nitin Namdev, Raipur. The Labor Department in Chhattisgarh has fixed a new rate of dearness allowance for workers. Its benefits will start being available from October 1. The workers on whom this will be applicable include agricultural workers working in 45 scheduled areas and workers engaged in incense stick manufacturing. Labor Commissioner Alarmelmangai D has issued this order.
According to the order, after the new dearness allowance, now non-skilled labor will get a monthly salary of Rs 10,948, semi-skilled labor will get Rs 11,598, skilled labor will get Rs 12,378 and high skilled labor will get Rs 13,158. According to the industrial index, the dearness allowance of agricultural workers has increased by Rs 145 per month on the basis of the increase between January 2024 and June 2024. At the same time, for the workers working in the agarbatti industry, their dearness allowance has been fixed at the rate of ₹ 7.21 per thousand incense sticks on the basis of the average increase in the consumer price index. Apart from this, the dearness allowance for workers employed in tobacco manufacturing has been fixed at the rate of ₹ 28.30 per thousand beedis on the basis of average increase.
Minimum Wage Rates –
Minimum wage rates have been fixed for workers from 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2024. In which Rs 10,948 per month has been fixed for unskilled ‘A’ working class, Rs 10,688 for ‘B’ class and Rs 10,428 for ‘C’ class. Rs 11,598 has been fixed for semi-skilled ‘A’ class, Rs 11,338 for ‘B’ class and Rs 11,078 for ‘C’ class. Rs 12,378 has been fixed for skilled ‘A’ class, Rs 12,118 for ‘B’ and Rs 11,858 for ‘C’. Similarly, Rs 13,158 has been fixed for highly skilled ‘A’ class, Rs 12,898 for ‘B’ and Rs 12,638 for ‘C’ class.
