Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, during his stay in Bijapur, interacted with the surrendered Naxalites and the youth suffering from Naxalite violence at the rest house. These youth have joined the police department under the rehabilitation policy of the Chhattisgarh government and are fighting against the Maoists. Chief Minister Sai expressed happiness after meeting the youth who left the Naxal organization and benefited from the rehabilitation policy and said that Bastar is now moving towards peace.
Rehabilitation policy is proving to be a boon: Constable Sumitra
Chief Minister Sai said that more than 55 Naxal victims of Naxal violence last day went to Delhi and met His Excellency President Draupadi Murmu and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and raised their voice against Naxalism. The Chief Minister said that he felt very sad after listening to the words of the victims of Naxalite violence that innocent people are becoming victims of violence. During the conversation with the Chief Minister, Naxalite victim Constable Sumitra told that her father was murdered by the Naxalites. Under the rehabilitation policy of Chhattisgarh government, he has been appointed to the post of constable. The rehabilitation policy of the government is proving to be a boon for the Naxal victim families.
Naxalites are misleading the tribals in the name of water, forest and land
Mangal Modiyam, a resident of Cherakanti, was previously involved in the Naxal organization for 19 years. Surrendered after abandoning the hollow ideology of Maoists, who got appointment in the police department under the rehabilitation policy. Mangal Modiyam said that it is necessary to establish peace in Bastar and Bijapur. Innocent tribals are misled by Naxalites in the name of water, forest and land.
