Raigarh. A workshop on cyber awareness and water conservation was organized in the Municipal Corporation Auditorium from 5 pm on Thursday. Supreme Court Justice Prashant Mishra was the chief guest of the program. Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary attended the program as a special guest. In the workshop, detailed information was given through presentation on cyber awareness and water conservation. This workshop was organized under the joint aegis of District Legal Services Authority and District and Police Administration. In this, District and Sessions Judge Raigarh Jitendra Kumar Jain, Collector Karthikeya Goyal, Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel, CEO District Panchayat Jitendra Yadav, all the judges from the District Court, officials of the district and police administration were present.
Addressing the workshop, Justice Prashant Mishra said that cyber awareness and water conservation are two topics which are directly related to the lives of all of us in today’s time. Being aware of it is the most important link to protect against cyber crimes. Today technology is developing rapidly. In such a situation, such crimes can be avoided by keeping ourselves updated and implementing information related to cyber crimes and methods to prevent them. Describing the incidents around him, he said that cyber thugs also try to cheat people in the name of people associated with judiciary. In such cases, it is necessary to act with caution and prudence. Regarding water conservation, he said that this is a matter in which participation of every citizen is necessary. Only by creating awareness and implementing water conservation measures can we create a better environment around us. For this everyone needs to work with positive thinking. He said that a good effort is being made by the District Legal Services Authority, District and Police Administration to make people aware. More and more people should take advantage of this and make others around them aware.
Finance Minister O.P. Chaudhary said that it is necessary to increase the level of vigilance among the people as the scope of cyber crimes has increased rapidly. In today’s digital age, if one does not act wisely, a person can lose all his savings in one click. He said that people are now suffering more financial loss due to cyber fraud than crimes like theft. The government and administration are working at their level to curb such crimes and punish the criminals. But as a responsible citizen everyone needs to be cautious. Cyber crimes can be avoided by increasing the understanding of the methods of cyber crimes and the emotions behind them and by making oneself and one’s family aware about the ways to prevent them. Praising the water conservation campaign of the district administration, he said that this is an important work towards the conservation of ground water and environment in Raigarh. He told that at the government level, work of planting Peepal trees is being done extensively by running ‘People for People’ campaign in Nava Raipur. This work has been done on a large scale in Raigarh district also. Work is being done to deliver the water of Kelo Dam to the farmers through canals. He said that nature worship has an important place in our culture. Keeping this in view, we all have to work together towards water conservation. He said that from the point of view of environmental protection, work is also being done towards flyash and ESP management at the government level.
Addressing the workshop, Collector Karthikeya Goyal said that awareness regarding cyber security and water conservation is very important for every citizen of the society today. Solving these problems is possible only with the joint efforts of everyone. Expressing his gratitude in the program, Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel said that fulfillment of these social objectives will be possible only with the coordinated efforts of everyone. In the workshop, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sunil Kumar Chandravanshi, SDM Raigarh Praveen Tiwari, DSP Cyber Abhinav Upadhyay and cyber team along with Helping Hands Club Foundation patron Manoj Goyal, President Ankit Aggarwal, Vinny Saluja, Nilesh Aggarwal, Rajesh Aggarwal, Kavita Beriwal, Anju Bansal, Dignitaries of the city including Divya Urja Lions Club, Lions Club Pride, Ranisati Seva Samiti, Lions Club City, Divya Shakti were present.
Water sharing campaign will be successful with public participation
In the program, CEO District Panchayat Jitendra Yadav gave information about the work done by the district administration on the subject of water sharing with public participation. He said that work is being done on a large scale in the entire district with departmental coordination regarding water conservation. In this, along with making people aware about water conservation, their active participation is being ensured in the efforts being made to save water. In this campaign, work is being done in every Panchayat of the district. A soak pit has been built near more than ten thousand hand pumps. 50 thousand Peepal trees have been planted. Work is being done with the aim of Jal Shakti through women power. Jal Shakti Center has been established in Raigarh. Work of deepening and expansion of ponds is being done under Amrit Sarovar Yojana. Various types of water conservation structures have been constructed by the departments. Farmers have been linked to the cultivation of horticultural crops. Work is being done for environmental protection under cleanliness service. In which people have participated enthusiastically. He said that water conservation is a subject in which we all have to work together. This will ensure that future generations continue to receive this gift of nature.

DSP Cyber Abhinav Upadhyay gave detailed information through a presentation regarding awareness of cyber crimes. He said that awareness is the first line of defense to avoid cyber crime. People are being given information about the methods of online crime happening nowadays through Cyber Awareness Fortnight. He said that today criminals have invented new methods of cyber fraud. Its scope is increasing, to prevent which we have to alert ourselves as well as our family and society about it. He told that people are resorting to fraud to get more profit in less time, guarantee of getting money on clicking a link, online fake share trading scam, black mailing by shooting obscene videos, extorting money by cloning social media profiles, etc. People are being cheated in ways like demanding money by giving false information about harm to close ones, difficulty in delivery of online shopping etc. He said that one can suffer losses by trusting unknown people online. He said that you can avoid these crimes by taking steps like using social media profiles cautiously, using two-step verification.
