Raipur. The Central Election Commission (ECI) has announced the by-election for Raipur South Assembly seat on Tuesday. Voting on this seat will be held on November 13 and counting of votes will take place on November 23. This seat has become vacant after BJP MLA Brijmohan Aggarwal was elected MP. After the announcement of by-election, statements of Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and senior Congress leader and former Deputy CM TS Singh Deo have come to light. Both the leaders have claimed that their respective parties will win this seat.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said, “The dates for the by-election in Raipur South Assembly seat have been announced. Bharatiya Janata Party leader Brijmohan Agarwal has been representing that seat for the last 8 elections. Our Brijmohan Aggarwal ji has personal relations with every house in South Seat. Bharatiya Janata Party has reached out to the public through different programs. We are fully prepared for the by-elections. Like every previous election, the people of the South will bless us.”
