Senior leaders and sitting MLAs of Shiv Sena (UBT) met their MLAs and potential candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections to be held on November 20 on Thursday (October 17). The two biggest alliances in Maharashtra politics are making an agreement on seat sharing. If we talk about Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA), which is away from power, this camp has got most of the seats. Seats have been distributed among 263 out of 288 assembly seats in the state. However, there is dispute on 25 seats. A meeting of all the allies of MVA was held on Thursday, in which representatives of Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray faction, Congress and NCP (Sharad Pawar) attended. Many important leaders including Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) MP Sanjay Raut, NCP (Sharad Pawar) leaders Jitendra Awhad, Jayant Patil and Anil Deshmukh were present in the meeting.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anil Parab said in an event that no one can stop Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) from coming to power in Maharashtra and claimed that Uddhav Thackeray will become the Chief Minister. Thackeray’s close aide and MLC Parab said, “No one can stop the MVA from coming to power and the Chief Minister of the MVA (government) will be Uddhav Saheb.” When Uddhav Saheb becomes the Chief Minister, the MLA from Bandra East will be with him. Parab also said that Youth Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Varun Sardesai will be the party’s candidate from Bandra East.

“There are competing claims among the MVA parties on 20 to 25 seats,” said Nana Patole, president of the Maharashtra unit of the Congress, which is part of the MVA. He said that the list of these seats will be sent to the high command of every party.
Talking to journalists, Patole said that a decisive meeting of MVA leaders was held on Thursday, in which positive discussions were held. Congress State President Nana Patole said that only three Mumbai seats have not been decided in the meeting, hence the meeting can be held on Friday. He said that we are willing to declare all 288 seats together. The results of the assembly elections will be declared on 23 November.
