Ambikapur: A heart-wrenching incident came to light on Friday in Gram Panchayat Poperenga Kudu Para located in Bhatauli development block of Ambikapur. Here, a massive fire broke out in the sugarcane crop grown on 17 acres, due to which the entire crop was converted into a heap of ashes in a moment.
It is being told that some unknown person had set fire to the adjacent bushes, which due to strong wind gusts reached the sugarcane crop. In this incident, the hard work of more than half a dozen farmers, who had prepared this crop after months of hard work, was wasted. Farmers say that the fire spread so fast that even before they could understand anything, the entire crop was reduced to ashes. There is deep anger and disappointment among the farmers due to this horrific incident.
