‘Panchteerth’ and Constitution Day Inspire New Generation from Baba Saheb: Chief Minister

Expressed Commitment to the Core Spirit of the Constitution by Signing the Preamble Wall

Chief Minister Paid Homage to Baba Saheb by Garlanding His Statue

Raipur, April 13, 2025/ The Constitution of India is a sacred text for every citizen, giving us the right to a dignified life. Our vast democracy stands on the strong foundation of the Constitution, and Baba Saheb was the architect of this text. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this today while inaugurating the ‘Jai Bhim Padyatra’ from Telibandha Talab in the capital, Raipur.

Chief Minister Participated in the Padyatra with Youth

The Chief Minister himself participated in this padyatra with the youth and paid homage to Baba Saheb by garlanding his statue at Ambedkar Chowk, the final stop of the padyatra. During this time, he recited the preamble of the Constitution with the youth and expressed his loyalty and commitment to the core spirit of the Constitution by signing the Preamble Wall. It is noteworthy that the ‘Jai Bhim Padyatra’ was organized jointly by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of Chhattisgarh, and the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan.

Described Baba Saheb’s Foresight as the Foundation of Democracy

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that after facing difficult struggles, Baba Saheb was born in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, obtained higher education, and gave an inclusive and powerful constitution to a vast democracy like India. He said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has decided to develop five major sites related to Baba Saheb’s life as ‘Panchteerth,’ so that the new generation can be inspired by his ideas. Also, by declaring Constitution Day, he has given a message of dedication to the Constitution to the countrymen.

Youth’s Role Important in Protecting Democratic Values

Shri Sai said that due to Baba Saheb’s foresight, a vast country like India is continuously enriching its democratic values today, while other countries that became independent with India have not been able to carry democracy along. He called upon the youth to play an active role in protecting and strengthening India’s democratic values.

Cabinet Minister Shri Tankram Verma said that the entire life of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is inspiring for all of us. The constitution of the country was drafted under his leadership. Walking on his ideals and the paths shown by him is the true tribute to him.

    Youths Were Honored

During this time, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai honored the youth who have made outstanding contributions to the society from the main stage. On this occasion, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, MLA Shri Khushwant Saheb, MLA Shri Anuj Sharma, MLA Shri Motilal Sahu, Chairman of Youth Commission Shri Vishwavijay Singh Tomar, Secretary of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Shri Himshikhar Gupta, Municipal Commissioner Shri Vishwadeep, along with a large number of youth, school children, and common people were present.
