A tragic incident occurred at Ahmedabad airport as Air India flight AI-171, destined for London, crashed shortly after takeoff. The flight was carrying a total of 242 individuals, comprising passengers, pilots, and crew members. The aircraft, a Boeing 787, crashed just outside the airport perimeter after giving a MAYDAY call. The DGCA reported the aircraft departed at 1339 IST. Rescue efforts are being coordinated, with multiple teams from the NDRF deployed to the crash site.
