A tragic incident occurred at Ahmedabad airport as Air India flight AI-171, destined for London, crashed shortly after takeoff. The flight was carrying a total of 242 individuals, comprising passengers, pilots, and crew members. The aircraft, a Boeing 787, crashed just outside the airport perimeter after giving a MAYDAY call. The DGCA reported the aircraft departed at 1339 IST. Rescue efforts are being coordinated, with multiple teams from the NDRF deployed to the crash site. Government officials, including the Aviation Minister and the Union Home Minister, are closely monitoring the situation and providing support.
