Following the devastating Air India plane crash near Ahmedabad Airport, British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the meeting, Cameron conveyed condolences and confirmed that the UK and India are working together to investigate the cause of the crash. She further assured support for the families of the affected British citizens. The accident involved a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, which crashed shortly after takeoff, claiming the lives of 241 people. The flight carried passengers from several countries, including India, the UK, Canada, and Portugal. Prime Minister Modi personally visited the crash site and met with rescue teams and officials.
