The Chhattisgarh government’s Department of Sports and Youth Welfare has invited applications for the State Sports Decoration Awards for 2023-24 and 2024-25. The awards aim to acknowledge and encourage exceptional performance by athletes, coaches, and referees at both state and national levels. The deadline for submitting applications is June 26, 2025.
The awards pay tribute to the state’s martyrs. The Shaheed Rajeev Pandey Award will offer a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh. The Shaheed Kaushal Yadav and Veer Hanuman Singh Awards will each carry a prize of Rs 1.5 lakh. The Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Award and the Vinod Chaubey Samman will each provide an incentive of Rs 25,000.
The Chief Minister Trophy will reward outstanding teams, with prize money varying from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh based on team size. Selected athletes will also receive financial support via the Inspiration Fund and diet money. Eligibility for diet money is capped at 19 years of age. Coaches and referees will be recognized for their contributions.
Application forms are available on the website http://sportsyw.cg.gov.in and at the District Sports Office and State Sports Directorate in Raipur. Applicants must submit all required certificates. Applications for the Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman require a recommendation from state sports associations. The selection process will be based on sports association recommendations, achievements, and eligibility.
All eligible athletes, coaches, and referees should submit their applications by the deadline, June 26, 2025. Incomplete or unclear applications will be rejected. The decision of the selection committee will be final.
