Tata Starbucks has refuted claims suggesting a brand ambassador deal with Dolly Chaiwala, a popular tea seller. The company has officially clarified the situation following a surge of social media posts that incorrectly presented Dolly Chaiwala as the brand ambassador for the coffeehouse chain. Starbucks, in a statement on LinkedIn, stated, “TATA Starbucks has no official brand ambassador in India,” aiming to dispel any misunderstanding. The origin of the rumors traces back to a meme, incorrectly perceived as part of an official marketing campaign. The coffeehouse chain has explicitly denied any collaboration with Dolly Chaiwala. The company emphasized its commitment to transparent communication and maintaining customer trust, acknowledging that the meme originated from a third-party source and was not an official campaign. Dolly Chaiwala, a tea vendor from Nagpur, gained widespread recognition, including a video appearance with Bill Gates, for his unique tea-making style.
