The Bihar Agricultural University (BAU) is at the forefront of agricultural innovation. Its Testing and Certification Laboratory is currently researching over 225 varieties of mangoes in its fruit research lab. Students and researchers are meticulously analyzing each mango to determine its sugar content. The goal is to crossbreed mangoes with lower sugar levels to create a new variety that diabetic patients can safely enjoy. The Vice Chancellor of Munger University, Sanjay Kumar, highlighted the need for this research during a recent mango exhibition at BAU, prompting swift action from BAU’s Vice Chancellor, Dr. D.R. Singh.
