The district administration in Balod, Chhattisgarh, has issued a directive to all petrol pumps, mandating that petrol will not be provided to motorcyclists unless they are wearing helmets. This decision comes in response to the increasing incidents of road accidents in the region. The police are working to raise awareness about safety measures, employing a combination of awareness campaigns and enforcement to ensure that the rule is followed by all motorcycle riders in the area. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Balod, Devansh Singh Rathore, confirmed the new campaign’s implementation.
