A sophisticated cheating scheme was exposed during the PWD sub-engineer exam in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. A student used a spy camera hidden in her innerwear, connected to her friend outside the exam hall who was equipped with a walkie-talkie and tablet to transmit answers. The incident has brought to light flaws in the examination process.
The incident occurred at Ramdulare Government Swami Atmanand School in Sarkanda, Bilaspur, during the sub-engineer recruitment exam on Sunday. An examinee, Annu Surya, was found using a spy camera and an earpiece to receive answers from her accomplice, Anuradha, who was stationed in an auto-rickshaw outside the exam center. Anuradha used a tablet and walkie-talkie to communicate with Annu.
The auto-rickshaw driver’s suspicion led to the discovery of the cheating. Upon receiving information, police and NSUI workers apprehended both individuals. Exam authorities recovered various electronic gadgets, including a spy camera, earphones, tablets, and walkie-talkies.
The police have taken both women into custody, and investigations are underway. The students are from Jashpur, the home district of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The incident has raised concerns about the integrity of the examination.
Student leaders are protesting and demanding that an FIR be filed against the individuals involved. They are also calling for the cancellation of the exam, claiming that widespread cheating has compromised the exam’s integrity.
