Axiom-4 Undocks: Jitendra Singh Welcomes Group Captain Shukla Home

The Axiom-4 mission has successfully concluded its time at the International Space Station, with the spacecraft undocking on Monday. Union Minister Jitendra Singh shared his joy and the nation’s eagerness for the return of Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla. The mission, involving the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, completed its fourth private astronaut mission at the ISS. The Dragon separated from the Harmony module. The spacecraft will splash down off California on July 15. Axiom Space and NASA observed the undocking. The mission saw over 60 scientific studies and outreach events. Group Captain Shukla, the first Indian astronaut on the ISS, was the pilot. Before the departure, the ISS Commander, Takuya Onishi, praised the crew’s dedication. Group Captain Shukla gave a farewell speech. The Dragon spacecraft is bringing back over 580 pounds of cargo, which includes scientific data from over 60 experiments. The mission was launched on June 25 and docked with the ISS on June 26.
