A distressing incident unfolded in Kandivali East, where Renu Katre, the wife of a MHADA Sub-registrar, was found dead. While authorities are investigating the possibility of suicide, Renu’s family is disputing this, pointing to alleged foul play in her death.
Reports indicate that Renu had accused her husband of harassment. Her brother has stated she ended her life after an argument on Saturday night, but insists it was a murder.
The Mumbai Police are currently investigating the case after registering it under Section 108 of the BNS.
Elsewhere, in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district, a family of four tragically died by suicide. Police reports indicate that the family ingested sulfas tablets. The deceased have been identified as Manohar Lodhi (45), his son Ankit (16), daughter Shivani (18), and grandmother Phulrani Lodhi (70). The incident took place in Tehar village, and the motive for their actions is being investigated.
