In a remarkable display of dedication and linguistic prowess, 14-year-old Aradhya Singh from Bihar has translated the Hanuman Chalisa into an astounding 234 languages. This ambitious project, which took six months to complete, seeks to make the sacred Hindu hymn accessible to a global audience. Aradhya, a resident of East Champaran, is now in the process of applying for recognition from the Guinness Book of World Records for her extraordinary achievement.
The young translator, inspired by her spiritual inclination, translated the devotional text into various languages, including Bhojpuri, Maithili, Korean, and Japanese. Her parents, Manoj and Rani Singh, have been instrumental in supporting her efforts, providing encouragement and assistance throughout the project. Aradhya utilized translation tools and meticulously reviewed the translated text to ensure accuracy.
Aradhya’s vision extends beyond mere translation. She hopes her work will promote Indian culture worldwide and foster a deeper understanding of the Hanuman Chalisa. Alongside her translation work, Aradhya is also involved in the ‘Aadaraniya Dalit’ project, reflecting her commitment to social justice. Her parents have consistently supported her, enabling her to pursue her passion for both spirituality and social work.
