A widow in the Navgachia district of Bihar was shot and killed by a man who had been persistently harassing her and demanding a relationship. The incident took place in the village of Tintang Babu Tola, where the 26-year-old victim was confronted by the accused, identified as Prakash Mandal. Mandal had been pressuring the woman for some time, seeking her phone number and attempting to coerce her into a relationship. When she refused, he shot her, leading to her death at the scene. The community is in shock, and the victim’s family has described a pattern of harassment, with the accused frequently loitering near her home and making unwanted advances. The police have taken the body for post-mortem and are actively searching for the accused, who fled the scene after the shooting.
