Sanjay Raut, a Member of Parliament from Shiv Sena (UBT), confirmed that Uddhav Thackeray’s faction and Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena will contest the upcoming municipal elections together in multiple districts of Maharashtra. The alliance is planned for Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, and Kalyan-Dombivli. Raut highlighted the combined strength of Uddhav and Raj Thackeray, stating it represents the unity of Marathi people. This collaboration stems from their shared stance on the Marathi language, previously leading to the withdrawal of a Hindi mandate in schools. Notably, Raj Thackeray recently visited Uddhav Thackeray at his residence, Matoshree, after a 13-year gap, extending birthday wishes.
