Ola Electric has introduced the S1 Pro Sport, a new variant of its S1 electric scooter, boasting a sporty design and advanced features. The scooter is priced at ₹1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and showcases design improvements compared to the standard model. The S1 Pro Sport incorporates a new 4680-type battery, enhancing its performance capabilities.
Ola S1 Pro Sport: Design and Features
The S1 Pro Sport distinguishes itself with a redesigned front apron featuring the Ola logo and a camera, essential for the ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) features, including collision detection. This model supports MoveOS 6 to enable these ADAS functionalities. Additional design elements include a new seat, carbon fiber front fender, a carbon fiber grab handle, and an aero windshield. It rides on 14-inch wheels.
The scooter is powered by an indigenous ferrite electric motor, delivering a maximum output of 16 kW and 71 Nm of torque. This motor, developed in India, reduces reliance on rare earth elements for its magnets.
Battery and Performance
The S1 Pro Sport utilizes a 5.2 kWh battery pack with new 4680 cells. This configuration, combined with the updated motor, allows for a top speed of 152 kmph, acceleration from 0 to 40 kmph in 2 seconds, and an IDC range of 320 km.
ADAS Capabilities
The S1 Pro Sport comes equipped with an ADAS package, which includes collision warnings, blind spot detection, adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition, and overspeeding alerts. Furthermore, the scooter’s interface has been updated, integrating features like voice assistant, custom display themes, personal ride analytics, predictive maintenance alerts, and smart charging capabilities.
