Israel is proceeding with its plan to fully occupy Gaza. Having already taken control of 75% of the territory, the Israeli military is preparing to secure the remaining areas. These regions are home to a dense population of displaced Gazans, who are struggling with a scarcity of essential resources. Ground forces, supported by the air force, will move into new zones to intensify the pressure on Hamas.
Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, the IDF Chief of Staff, has provided details regarding the size of the ground force for the new Gaza City operation. Roughly 100,000 Israeli soldiers are planned to be used to control Gaza, a territory that is 41 kilometers in length and 12 kilometers in width, indicating a deployment of 273 soldiers per kilometer for the occupation.
