Japan and South Korea, both allies of the United States, are situated within 100 kilometers of the base. The facility is sometimes referred to as a secret base used by China.
The American think tank’s report indicates that the base is extensive and could potentially accommodate at least 15 missiles. There has been no official comment from North Korea regarding the base’s features, which are reported to include an underground infrastructure.
The base’s construction began in 2004, and it was put into operation in 2014. Since then, North Korean military personnel have been stationed there. The base covers an area of approximately 22 square kilometers.
