He stated that the increasing number of foreign drivers operating large tractor-trailers on American roads poses a threat to American lives and undermines the livelihoods of American truck drivers. Consequently, Rubio has put an immediate halt to issuing all worker visas for commercial truck drivers.
The truck driver involved in the accident, Harjinder Singh, reportedly entered the US illegally.
