Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mimi Chakraborty had resigned from her post on Thursday. After sending his resignation to Mamata Banerjee in MMI due to differences with the local (Jadavpur) Trinamool leadership, he said in a discussion with a news agency that politics is not for me. Actually, if you are helping someone on politics, then you have to promote him. She said that along with politics, I also work as an actor, in this respect my responsibility is equal on both sides.

The TMC MP further said that I have spoken to Mamata Banerjee regarding the problem I am facing. I want to first inform the party which gave me the opportunity to come forward about my resignation.
