New developments continue to surface in the Nikki Bhati murder case in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Kanchan, Nikki’s sister, has alleged that Vipin, her husband, along with his family, set Nikki on fire over a dowry dispute. The police have arrested Vipin, his parents, and his brother. However, Vipin’s sister-in-law has presented a different narrative. She accuses Nikki’s family of dowry harassment, alleging that she was also abused. According to Meenakshi, Nikki’s parents, Kanchan, and her husband Rohit used to mistreat her. Meenakshi further claims that Nikki self-immolated and that Vipin is innocent. Meenakshi said that a week after her marriage, the car received as dowry was sold off, and a Scorpio was demanded. She says she was repeatedly beaten and was rescued by the police after being held against her will.
