The state of Punjab faces a critical situation due to heavy rainfall and widespread flooding, impacting around 1300 villages. Amidst these challenging circumstances, all IPS officers in the state have decided to donate a day’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. This contribution comes as part of a collective effort to assist in the relief and recovery operations. The DGP of Punjab Police highlighted this decision on social media, expressing unity with those affected by the floods. The police are committed to not only ensuring law and order but also extending all possible support to mitigate the suffering of the affected population. This support includes providing aid to those in need and working towards the restoration of normalcy.
