A powerful earthquake measuring 5.8 on the magnitude scale struck Afghanistan on Thursday. The seismic event, which took place at approximately 10:26 pm IST, was felt throughout India and Pakistan. The temblor originated at a depth of 160 km below the surface. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) confirmed the details via social media. The earthquake was located at 34.58 degrees North latitude and 70.66 degrees East longitude. Further, earlier on Thursday morning, a 4.8 magnitude earthquake was also recorded in Afghanistan.
