Lanzante, a British supercar manufacturer, has unveiled its first hypercar, the 95-59, which incorporates a Lord Ganesha-inspired logo, leading to widespread excitement online. The logo, depicting the Hindu deity associated with wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings, has been warmly received. The decision to use Lord Ganesha as a symbol can be traced back to the influence of Indian spirituality on George Harrison of the Beatles. He considered Lord Ganesha a symbol of good fortune and an obstacle remover.
The 95-59, Lanzante’s first self-branded hypercar, pays tribute to the company’s 1995 Le Mans victory with the McLaren F1 GTR. Designed by Paul Howse, the car offers a three-seater configuration with the driver in the central position, reflecting Lanzante’s 30 years of experience. According to the company, the 95-59 is intended to provide an immersive and engaging experience. It also offers space for luggage and a long cruising range, expanding its usability. Netizens have shown enthusiasm, with comments such as, “Lazante, a British car company adopts ‘Shri Ganesh’ as logo. Post dollar world started, bharatiya symbols will get more mileage.” and “A supercar brand just did the unthinkable… #Lanzante has chosen Bhagwan Ganesh as its logo.”
