In response to the latest GST reforms, Hyundai Motor India will be implementing price reductions across its range of passenger vehicles. The company’s move to pass on the advantages of the GST revisions will provide customers with savings of up to Rs 2.4 lakh. The price adjustments are scheduled to begin on September 22, timed perfectly with the commencement of the festive season. The Hyundai Tucson will see the largest price reduction, with a cut of Rs 2,40,303. Additional models benefiting from the price cuts include the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, Exter, i20, Venue, Verna, Creta, and Alcazar, with price decreases varying from approximately Rs 60,000 to over Rs 1.2 lakh. The GST reforms, which were decided during the 56th GST Council meeting, aim to lower the GST rate for small cars (those under four meters with petrol engines up to 1,200cc or diesel engines up to 1,500cc) to 18% from 28%. Larger cars with larger engines will now have a 40% GST rate without the extra cess that was previously applied. Hyundai expects these price adjustments to boost customer confidence and sales during the festive season.
