Australia A is currently in India for a series of two unofficial Test matches against India A. The first match of the series ended in a draw. The second match is set to take place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, starting September 23rd. A notable update has surfaced regarding the Indian team before the second match, indicating a substantial change. Shreyas Iyer, who captained the Indian A team in the series, will not be available for the second unofficial Test match against Australia A. He has taken a break to rest and has returned to Mumbai. While he informed the selectors about his unavailability, he remains in contention for the upcoming two-Test series against the West Indies, starting October 2nd. In the absence of Shreyas Iyer, Dhruv Jurel will take over the captaincy. Jurel was the vice-captain in the first match. Additionally, KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj are expected to join the team for the second match. Mohammed Siraj might replace Khaleel Ahmed. All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy may be sidelined from this match due to a knee injury.
