A devastating incident unfolded at Sonpur Railway Station on Friday, resulting in the death of a railway officer, Vijay Kumar Singh. The accident occurred when Singh was boarding the Jogbani-Danapur Intercity train and slipped, falling onto the tracks. He was then hit by the train. Singh, 43, was a Deputy Chief Controller. He lived in the Anand Dwarika Heritage Apartment in Shivpuri, Anisabad, Patna, and was returning home after work when the accident took place. He was employed at the control office of the Sonpur railway division’s operations department. Following the accident, officials, including the DRM, Senior DOM, and DOM, rushed to the scene. The authorities informed Singh’s family after identifying his body.
