India to Receive Asia Cup Trophy After BCCI, PCB Agreement

A resolution is in sight for the delayed Asia Cup 2025 trophy handover. India, having triumphed in the tournament over a month ago, had yet to receive their prize. However, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has announced that the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have agreed to settle the trophy dispute amicably. Following separate meetings facilitated by the ICC, where PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi was also present, a positive dialogue has commenced. Saikia expressed optimism, stating that the ‘ice has been broken’ and that various options will be explored to expedite the trophy’s delivery. The discussions, held on the sidelines of the ICC board meeting, involved key officials from both cricket boards and the ICC. The BCCI secretary is confident that a swift resolution will be achieved, emphasizing the cooperative spirit shown by both sides.
