A pall of gloom has descended upon Kosiyara village in Palamu’s Chainpur district following the grim discovery of a missing 10-year-old girl’s body in a well. Ritu Kumari, daughter of Ram Vinay Chaurasia, disappeared on Friday evening while on her way to deliver food to her sister in the fields. Her family raised the alarm, initiating a frantic search and reporting her disappearance to the Chainpur police. The search culminated in the heartbreaking discovery of her body submerged in a local well. Local legislator Alok Chaurasia immediately visited the site and coordinated with law enforcement agencies. Police managed to recover the body from the well. Initial findings by the police point towards a possible murder, with the suspicion that perpetrators killed the young girl and concealed her body in the well. Expressing profound grief, MLA Alok Chaurasia has called for a thorough and expeditious investigation by the police to bring the culprits to justice. He has vowed to ensure the accused face severe legal consequences. The police department has officially commenced an investigation into the matter.
