A stark warning has emerged regarding Bangladesh’s security landscape, with allegations of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) camps and Pakistan’s ISI involvement in arming militants. Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of the ousted Bangladeshi leader Sheikh Hasina, stated from the US that LeT is operating with impunity. He further alleged that these militants have direct ties to recent terror attacks carried out in Delhi. Wazed’s claims indicate a dangerous shift, potentially transforming Bangladesh from a counter-terror partner into a launchpad for regional instability. He specifically implicated Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), alleging they supplied weapons to militants who participated in protests last year, with visual evidence reportedly corroborating these claims. Wazed also criticized the current unelected government for releasing numerous political prisoners and undermining democratic processes. The unfolding situation presents a significant geopolitical challenge for India and the broader South Asian region.
