Raichand. Today in the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha, the “Under‑14 boys football team” met Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The Chief Minister extended heartfelt congratulations to all the players, coaches, and support staff for becoming national champions and wished them a bright future. On this occasion, CM Soren said that there are immense opportunities for sports in Jharkhand. The state government is fully committed to the holistic development of players and to giving them recognition at national and international levels. He further said that the talent and dedication of the state’s youth are bringing Jharkhand’s pride to new heights. The Chief Minister expressed hope that Jharkhand’s players will continue to establish new dimensions in the world of sport in the future. Notably, from December 1 to 6, 2025, the 69th School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National School Football Championship, held in Umaria, Madhya Pradesh, saw Jharkhand’s Under‑14 boys football team perform excellently and claim the national championship title. In the final, Jharkhand defeated Punjab 6–5 in an exciting penalty shootout to achieve this glory. The competition was held under the banner of the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC). During the conversation with the Chief Minister, players reported that the state’s sports policies and incentive schemes continually motivate them to perform excellently.
