The NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 in New Delhi got a rousing boost from Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi’s visit on Monday. Nostalgically recalling his NCC roots, he found in the cadets the heartbeat of India’s unity and excellence – ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ personified.
A Guard of Honour set the tone, followed by Admiral Tripathi’s effusive praise for the cadets’ turnout, drills, bands, and cultural spectacles, sealed with a hearty ‘Bravo Zulu’.
He extended congratulations for their camp selection and celebrated NCC’s nurturing of discipline, love for country, and community service. Standouts included 72,000 cadets’ Operation Sindoor efforts and advanced sessions on drones and cyber threats.
Aligning with PM Modi’s youth empowerment narrative, Tripathi foresaw their indispensable part in a prosperous India by 2047. NCC’s forward march, he said, pairs foundational training with high-tech prowess in digital realms and emerging tech.
Distilling career lessons into five tenets, he urged: discipline over distractions, perpetual upskilling, heroic courage from icons like Khetrapal and Nath, team-first mindset, and tenacity.
The Navy’s dedication shines through hands-on ventures like Puneet Sagar and Sea Vigil, immersing cadets in sailing, ship ops, and international naval experiences for a full-spectrum understanding.
In a stirring call, Tripathi implored cadets to live by unity, discipline, integrity, and supreme national duty. Highlights included a dazzling band by Pilani’s Birla girls, cultural flag showcases, and dynamic models of maritime and aviation tech.
