Mumbai’s golfing elite converged at the iconic Bombay Presidency Golf Club for a day of competition and cause at The Golf Foundation’s (TGF) 18th Annual Tournament. Headlining the event was none other than Aamir Khan, whose participation infused the proceedings with star power and profound insights.
Taking a break from the silver screen, Aamir passionately championed sports’ role in youth development. ‘It’s more than fun or rivalry—sports reshapes character and opens doors to success,’ he proclaimed. He highlighted lessons in patience and fortitude that prepare children for real-world triumphs.
The guest list read like a Mumbai power roster: musician Raghav Sachar, municipal head Kailash Shinde, execs Arjun Nohwar, Sashi Reddy, Dilip Sharma, and John Wilcox. Their swings helped amass funds for TGF’s vital programs.
Founded by champion Amit Luthra in 2000, TGF has shattered elitist perceptions of golf over 26 years. ‘From day one, our aim was boundless talent expression,’ Luthra shared. ‘Now, we nurture complete individuals ready for any challenge.’
Aamir applauded this vision, urging greater access to guided sports. As trophies were awarded, the event’s true impact shone through—empowering tomorrow’s leaders, one fairway at a time. TGF’s commitment endures, turning greens into grounds for growth.
