The latest asset disclosure report for the Bihar government has identified Rama Nishad as the wealthiest individual in Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s new cabinet. Representing the Aurai constituency, Nishad’s declared assets of Rs 31.86 crore place him at the top of the financial rankings provided by the ADR. At the other end of the scale is Sanjay Kumar from the Bakhri constituency, whose assets total Rs 22.30 lakh, making him the member with the lowest net worth in the current analysis. The study provides a comprehensive look at the financial health of the Bihar government, noting that the average asset value per minister is Rs 5.32 crore. Interestingly, over 60% of the ministers have declared debts, with Vijay Kumar Sinha reporting the highest liability at over Rs 82 lakh.
