Breaking new ground in digital public services, India’s government has fused the Sampann telecom pension portal with DigiLocker. This Wednesday’s announcement spells relief for pensioners seeking e-PPOs, gratuity orders, and other key files without leaving home.
The CGA-developed platform now lets users auto-generate pension certificates, commutation orders, or Form-16 by simply inputting PPO numbers and clicking ‘Get Document.’ All telecom retirees have been informed as part of Digital India’s expansive rollout.
Says the Communications Ministry: Pensioners can pull communication sanction orders and more directly into DigiLocker from any device. ‘Anywhere access ends paper dependency, easing banking and reimbursements,’ they add. Ashish Joshi, Delhi’s top communication accounts official, praises it for promoting self-sufficiency and paperless ops.
Log in at DigiLocker with Aadhaar, link your PPO, and download instantly—pure simplicity. PM Modi’s 2018 gift to the nation, Sampann digitized pensions comprehensively: applications to resolutions, bypassing traditional hassles for retirees and kin.
This integration not only safeguards documents digitally but accelerates vital processes, embodying India’s commitment to tech-driven welfare. Pensioners in urban hubs like Delhi-NCR and remote areas alike stand to benefit, heralding an era of truly accessible governance.
