Tamil Nadu’s political landscape heated up as the NDA unveiled its assembly poll strategy at PM Narendra Modi’s rally near Maduranthakam on Friday. Leading the charge, AMMK’s T.T.V. Dinakaran unleashed a scathing critique of CM M.K. Stalin’s ‘nepotistic politics,’ accusing him of sidelining state welfare for family ambitions.
Dinakaran highlighted the irony: amid rising violence, deteriorating public order, and stalled economic aid, Stalin allegedly fixates on elevating son Udhayanidhi. ‘Public misery takes a backseat to dynastic dreams,’ he asserted passionately.
NDA unity shone through with leaders like AIADMK’s Palaniswami, PMK’s Ramadoss, and TMC(M)’s Vasan flanking Modi. Dinakaran credited the PM with a firm pledge to uproot family-dominated rule, advocating for NDA’s vision of secure, development-oriented, graft-free rule.
Explaining AMMK’s NDA integration, he owned up to prior rifts yet framed the decision as a selfless act for broader interests. Echoing J. Jayalalithaa’s ethos, he advocated unwavering commitment to citizens over alliances.
As elections loom, this launch positions NDA as DMK’s formidable rival, capitalizing on governance grievances. Modi’s involvement amplifies the message, potentially swaying undecided voters toward change in Tamil Nadu’s entrenched political order.
