In recognition of selfless service, 12 Jharkhand Police personnel have been selected for the President’s Police Medal and Police Medals by the Home Ministry, as per a Sunday notification. This timely honor, just before Republic Day 2026, celebrates their pivotal roles in ensuring statewide stability and citizen security.
DSP Sudhir Kumar earns the top President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, lauded for his long-standing record of ethical leadership and adept handling of demanding duties. His contributions have been consistently praised within police circles.
The Meritorious Service Police Medals go to 11 distinguished members, including IGs Anoop Birthare and Patel Mayur Kanaiyalal, whose administrative acumen and case management skills have elevated departmental standards. DSP Sanjay Kumar rounds out the senior honorees.
Field-level excellence is embodied by Head Constables Krishna Kumar Kshetry, Arun Kumar Ojha, Marcus Sunwar, Jaydev Pradhan, Janet Margaret Lakra, Kumudini Kujur, Sufal Oria, and Mohammad Wasim Akhtar, recognized for courage in operational challenges and community protection.
