The Baramati aviation disaster has plunged the Jadhavs of Satara into despair. Vidyip Jadhav, longtime PSO to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, lost his life in the Wednesday crash that also felled Pawar himself. Overwhelmed relatives say words fail them, mourning the loss of their family’s steadfast anchor.
Vidyip’s funeral in Phaltan drew crowds honoring his service. A key figure in Pawar’s security since 2019, he earlier served Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, earning acclaim throughout Maharashtra.
‘His fame crossed every district,’ shared Ganesh Jadhav. But Vidyip’s legacy shone brightest at home. ‘He wove our family tight, nurturing all kin equally,’ Ganesh reflected. The cremation rite amplified their agony: ‘Our pillar has crumbled.’
Ganesh detailed Vidyip’s warmth: embracing relatives universally, never alienating anyone. This void poses their sternest trial—maintaining family solidarity. ‘His absence makes everything harder,’ he said.
As Maharashtra reflects on the crash’s toll, the Jadhavs embody personal tragedy amid public loss. Vidyip’s story underscores loyalty’s human side, leaving a family to rebuild from ruins.
