A momentous day unfolded at Ghaziabad’s CBI Academy as 134 Sub-Inspectors— a record number—passed out in a ceremonial parade on Thursday. Leading the festivities, Director Praveen Sood congratulated the cohort, who embarked on training May 15, and thanked their families for steadfast backing.
Immersed in a robust syllabus, trainees mastered legal probes, corruption hunts, crime basics, intel ops, fiscal felonies, cyber assaults, bank heists, device forensics, pathology insights, and lab sciences. Real-world stints at agency branches, tribunals, precincts, NFSU, AIIMS, SEBI honed their edge.
Emphasis lay on cultivating supreme integrity, probity, rights reverence, and discipline. Sood celebrated the batch’s magnitude, 18 women’s strong presence signaling diversity gains, and the academy’s 5-star training badge. ‘Field challenges teach sans syllabus; embrace perpetual growth,’ he urged, pushing AI-tech synergy for data mastery while upholding human discernment.
Stars shone bright: Satyavrat Singh’s all-round and indoor trophies; Saimitya’s cyber trophy; Shekhar Baliyan’s outdoor John Lobo honor; Rakshit Kumar’s dedication plaque. The new TRACE lab, inaugurated by Sood, promises scenario-driven cyber forensics mastery. Attendees included top brass like Special Directors Manoj Shashidhar and Sampat Meena, Additional Directors N. Venu Gopal and A.Y.V. Krishna, marking a new era for CBI.
