India’s dual friendships position it perfectly to mediate between Palestine and Israel, Palestinian Foreign Minister Warsean Agabekian declared in New Delhi. Her comments precede critical India-Arab diplomatic engagements.
Here for the second India-Arab FMM and fourth SOM in 2026, the minister hopes for India’s hands-on role in peace drives, especially Gaza recovery and strategic planning.
Agabekian regards the assemblies as key arenas for debating Palestinian affairs, post-conflict rebuilding, peace accords, and India-Arab synergies. Pressed on India’s mediator potential, she remarked, ‘Friend to both, India can bridge gaps and propose solutions, actively joining peace endeavors.’
India-UAE will jointly lead the January 31 IAFMM, drawing Arab League foreign ministers and leadership. She affirmed the New York Declaration’s roadmap value, ready to collaborate for adherence to its independence-focused duties.
On advancing Palestinian leadership, Agabekian highlighted partnerships with declaration backers. Addressing India’s invite to Gaza peace talks, she counseled strategic self-assessment as a global economic-democratic force.
She urged Hamas to disarm for unity’s sake and condemned violence in disputes, advocating international law and talks. Amid regional strife, Agabekian’s plea elevates India’s prospective influence in forging lasting Middle East peace.
