Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has enthusiastically endorsed the US decision to trim tariffs on Indian imports to 18% from 25%, terming the trade agreement a boon for both India and America.
In his X post, Vaishnaw pointed out the synergistic forces at play between the two democracies. ‘India and the US can together craft world-changing technologies and solutions,’ he said, stressing their role in promoting peace and development.
The policy shift emerged from talks between PM Modi and President Trump. Modi shared his satisfaction on X, thanking his counterpart for easing duties on Indian manufactures and speaking for the nation’s vast population.
Modi envisioned immense prospects from two economic powerhouses working hand-in-hand, yielding direct benefits to citizens. He commended Trump’s global leadership and expressed readiness to elevate their strategic ties.
