The CM noted to media: ‘Efforts to fetch wild buffaloes from Assam continue. We’ve aligned on vital setups for the February 28 cheetah influx.’
Centered at Kuno National Park, the program started with Namibian imports in 2022 and South African ones in 2023, totaling 20. Nine adult deaths notwithstanding, cubs have elevated the count above 30.
Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary emerges as a secondary enclave, recently welcoming Prabhas, Pavak, and earlier Dhira from Kuno. A Botswana inspection team in December approved all amenities, from bomas to clinics.
