A high-octane diplomatic soiree unfolded at the US Ambassador’s residence in New Delhi, where Sergio Gor rolled out the red carpet for his welcome reception. India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar were among the dignitaries, reflecting the robust momentum in bilateral diplomacy.
Goyal documented the highlight on X with photos: ‘Great to be at Sergio Gor’s welcome reception at the US Embassy in India. The India-US trade agreement will undoubtedly elevate our partnership to unprecedented levels.’
Attendees spanned India’s supporters, envoys, business moguls, and American allies, with over 75 ambassadors joining the Indian leaders for meaningful exchanges.
On X, Gor enthused: ‘Hosted a splendid reception this evening with dear Indian friends, diplomats, business leaders, and US partners. Amid our emerging trade architecture and strengthening strategic bonds, magic unfolds in these heartfelt moments—forging trust, ideas, and a common vision. Cheers to India-America’s infinite potential!’
He profusely thanked Goyal, Jaishankar, and the 75-plus ambassadors. Addressing the crowd, Gor spotlighted the White House’s India priority under Trump. The envoy hailed PM Modi’s friendship with President Trump as the catalyst for the interim trade accord.
Having arrived recently, Gor affirmed, ‘A month-plus in India, and work is underway. The White House is zeroed in on India—President Trump especially, thanks to his rapport with PM Modi, which sealed our trade deal.’
This event signals a new chapter in Indo-US synergy, with trade pacts gaining traction and strategic convergences deepening. Beyond economics, collaborations in innovation, security, and climate action loom large. Gor’s reception serves as a launchpad, promising a partnership that redefines global leadership.
