Strengthening bilateral bonds, French President Emmanuel Macron will undertake a three-day official visit to India from February 17-19, hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Coming after Modi’s France sojourn, it epitomizes the enduring trust in their strategic partnership.
Macron will prominently feature at the India-AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam, from February 16-20. As the Global South’s first such summit, it assembles worldwide experts to unlock AI’s power in governance enhancement, innovation acceleration, and sustainable development pathways.
PM Modi will launch the event, underscoring AI’s critical contributions to India’s developmental narrative. It bolsters public service efficiency, enables broad-based growth, and dovetails with the 2047 vision for a developed nation. India’s cultural and linguistic multiplicity offers a fertile ground for bespoke, inclusive AI ecosystems.
Summit-side dialogues will propel the Horizon 2047 roadmap forward in collaborative sectors. The leaders will exchange views on geopolitical hotspots, including Indo-Pacific dynamics. Mumbai will host their joint launch of the India-France Year of Innovation, a 2026 initiative to spark cross-border ingenuity.
Symbolizing deepened camaraderie, the visit cements both countries’ pledge to elevate their relationship, positioning them as frontrunners in the global AI landscape.
