Padma Shri actor Manoj Bajpayee brought star power to Patna’s Bihar Museum Tuesday, endorsing the state’s bold leap into cinema and stage arts. No longer confined to literature and folk expressions, Bihar is scripting a national narrative in entertainment.
Bajpayee, a key architect of the Bihar Film Promotion Policy, shared how it’s captivating filmmakers countrywide. This strategic move promises accelerated productions, economic uplift, and skill-building for youth via superior venues, equipment, and institutes. Bihar’s vibrant socio-historical tapestry offers endless cinematic inspiration for worldwide appeal.
Absorbing the museum’s treasures, Bajpayee journeyed through time—from primitive Stone Age artifacts to sophisticated Mughal artifacts. Exhibits of pottery, toys, tools, and statues illuminated eras like Copper-Stone, Mauryan, Gupta, and beyond, offering a tangible link to antiquity.
He hailed the venue as a dynamic portal to India’s cultural mosaic. In talks with Secretary Pranav Kumar, Bajpayee highlighted mutual gains from the policy’s rollout, urging active industry participation.
Praising the department’s innovative preservation ethos, Bajpayee thanked them profusely. ‘This museum stands tall as a national treasure,’ he concluded, optimistic about Bihar’s rising stardom in arts.
