A wave of spiritual fervor swept through Delhi University as Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveiled the 10-day Vasantotsav 2026’s Bhajan Clubbing at Ramjas College. Inaugurated Tuesday, the program was hailed by Gupta for ingeniously intertwining devotion, cultural pride, and the pulse of young India.
Leela Band’s captivating set infused the venue with bhakti’s magic, uniting students, Gupta, Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra, and guests in harmonious singing. Referencing PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ endorsements, Gupta celebrated bhajans and kirtans as cultural lifelines, with Delhi’s Vasantotsav advancing this national dialogue.
‘Bhajan Clubbing innovatively reconnects our youth to profound roots and spiritual awareness,’ Gupta affirmed. She described Delhi’s current scene as a ‘magnificent convergence of faith, heritage, and youthful dynamism, where tradition evolves through modern lenses.’
Kapil Mishra attributed the February 10-19 extravaganza to PM Modi’s inspiration for youth-cultural synergy, framing it as a pivotal move to solidify Delhi’s role as India’s art and culture vanguard. The schedule presses on with Raghav Raja Deen Dayal Upadhyay College’s event Wednesday, and February 12’s double bill—India Music Collective at ARSD College and Sadho Band at Shaheed Sukhdev College.
Through these gatherings, Delhi is pioneering a new era of devotional engagement, ensuring ancient practices thrive amid today’s fast-paced world.
